Attractions:
  • Arctic Circle: The Arctic Circle cuts right through Santa Claus Village. A white line denoting the Arctic Circle is painted across the park. Visitors officially enter the Arctic area when they cross the line. The line is a very popular photo spot for visitors.
  • Santa Claus' Main Post Office: A large variety of Christmas related items, Christmas cards and CDs are sold in the post office. All mail sent from this post office is postmarked with a special Santa Claus postmark. Visitors can also specify their mail to be sent at the next Christmas, regardless of when they actually visit the post office and send their items.
  • Santa Claus's Office: A Santa Claus's Office is located inside the main building of the Village, for visitors to take photographs and chat with Santa Claus. However, there is an "office hour" for Santa Claus and he may not be in the office all the time even when the Village is open.
  • Other attractions: There are also many shops and restaurants inside the park selling a variety of items related to Santa Claus and the Lapland region.

So long in 2008, it still holds second position after Topworld invited travelers to vote for their own Top 10 list over adventures.

Go there:
  • By plane: Rovaniemi Airport, located 8 km north from the city center of Rovaniemi, is the largest airport in northern Finland. Most of the flights go south to Helsinki, but it fields a limited number of international flights mostly to North Russian destinations like Murmansk. To get to the city center you have to take a bus or a taxi.
  • By train: Rovaniemi railway station Rovaniemi is the terminus of most trains from the south. The line extends only a little further northeast to Kemijärvi. The journey from Helsinki takes 9 to12 hours and is reasonably comfortable in a sleeper. You can also take your car with you. The railway station is located right next to the city centre of Rovaniemi.
  • By bus: Gold Line and Oy Matkahuolto Ab operate daily night buses to Rovaniemi from Helsinki via Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. Coming by bus from the south is relatively cheap but requires about 14 hours of sitting. The bus station is in the city center and is just a few hundred meters away from the railway station.

  1. The administrative center of Finland's northernmost province, Lapland, is the city of Rovaniemi. With a population of around 63000, it is located between the hills and 6 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle. The city is a great destination for tourists since it boasts a lively culture and a wide range of recreational opportunities. Get limusiini rovaniemi with Vip profile by Limo wide.
